SUNDAY BRUNCH @ 7 DEGREE BRAUHAUS

7 degrees brauhaus serves some Brilliant food and we all know that. Undoubtedly one of the most famous restaurants in Gurgaon serving German beer.

I decided to try their Sunday brunch with one of my friend. Such a lovely restaurant and their brunch was very lavish. Brunches are all about huge buffet and loads and loads of options to chose from. 7 degree brauhaus had a wide variety of options to pick from.

The decor of this restaurant is so mesmerizing.

The food was tasteful, fresh and delish. Also, they have various types of live counters and their pastas and other dishes were super yum. Their live counters were really quirky and the chefs were really professional while making the dishes. Their pastas were flavourful and were very delish.

The highlight of the entire brunch was their heavenly salads and then their desserts. Oh god their desserts are mind blowing and had such a wide variety. The head chef tries to put loads of desserts each time the brunch is served and honestly, the ones i tried were amazing.

All in all, the entire experience was worth it and wonderful and one should surely spend their sunday brunches at this restaurant.

DELECTABLE BRUNCH AT DESI DELI, BANDRA

Hola.

Missfoodiediaries is spreading the love for food in Mumbai more and more with each passing day.
So here's another blogpost about brunch scenes at Desi deli in Bandra.
Desi deli is a small cafe situated at reclamation.
It's a small cafe which can accommodate 6/8 people at a time with comfortable seating and the little interiors that have surely lit the place.
They have newly launched the bruch menu.
We started with The brekky dog where you are given option of chicken and pork. Between breads there is a nicely cooked sausage topped with cheese and eggs. It comes with a side of sauteed garlic and mushrooms which tasted delectable.

Next we had the new in entire town 'Wah wah brekky'
It was definitely on point and the best and unique dish i had.
It was served in a tall glass layered with healthy oats, spinach, eggs, white sauced mushrooms and chunks of chicken.
Also served with bread sticks and toast.
This dish is capable to fill your stomach completely.

Followed by hot chocolate.
Open cafe, breezy morning and a cup of this tempting hot chocolate on a good Sunday morning. Sounds perfect, isn't it?
The hot chocolate was as perfect as it looks in the picture.

We signed off with french toast and chicken sausage topped with coffee infused honey. The toast was little to the sweet side but the sausage balanced the dish.

Overall the place is quite expensive for the portions that they are serving but they definitely have a unique menu and sorted brunch scenes.

For Heaven's Cake- A bakery from heaven!

For Heaven's cake is a bakery serving some yummy and delish desserts to make your tummy really happy. Their menu is one of its own kind because it has such brilliant combinations and cakes that you will fall in love with.

I recently had some of their desserts from their menu and here i am writing down my thoughts about them.

Tea Cakes

Danish Apple was pretty yummy and had that distinct flavour of apple in it. Recommended during the winters because it will really compliment the tea or coffee you will have.
Orange and Almond are two abruptly crazy things which when combined together turns out so amazing. This dessert was a surprise for me and my parents really loved it.
Carrot cake is one of my favorite companions along with my tea and i really loved their creation too. Simple and filling.
Pineapple upside down looked really cute and I am not a fan of pineapple yet i tried it and it was not bad at all.

Red Velvet with Cinnamon cream,Coffee Frenzy and Lush Trail were the three cute little cupcakes I tried. They were so beautifully presented and the delivery was done in such a manner that nothing got ruined. All three of them had such distinct flavors to offer and i really enjoyed trying them out. So droolworthy ab yum.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Lemon n Hazelnut Cream was a perfect not so sweet dessert that will really jazz up your tastebuds.
Honey Cinnamon Pannacotta was such a cutie and tasted so awesome. Desserts with a pinch of cinnamon is so in these days and this one too was super.
Green Apple and Snickers is a new addition in their menu and it really was wow. Try it to experience thing new.

CHINA BISTRO, MUMBAI- SIZZLING FESTIVAL

China bistro celebrated the sizzling festival.
We visited China bistro outlet at dadar.
It is located at the corner of shivaji park area with a great fine dine vibe.
China bistro's staff is the most pleasing and welcoming staff i have ever witnessed.

We were welcomed with ice teas.
• lemon ice tea
• peach ice tea
They were just what we needed and  very refreshing in the sorching heat of mumbai. The had the exact blend of sour sweet taste.

Roast lamb teppanyaki
I tried lamb for the first time. But what they served was good to taste. A little chewy than chicken with good roast sizzled with mushroom and soya sauce.

Chicken with 7 spice, honey and seasame
When popped in mouth the chicken tasted of the sweetness from honey and later changed it's flavour to bit spicy.

The next we had on table was lemon coriander soup. The soup had shredded chicken with perfect pinch of lemon and flavour of coriander.

For main course we had this tempting chinese dish called shredded chicken with celery and wine which had soft noodles and chunks of shredded chicken with greasy gravy.

A DELICIOUS VISIT TO THE PENINSULA GRAND, MUMBAI

Hola.

Missfoodiediaries recently visited THE PENINSULA GRAND at sakinaka andheri.
The hotel is situated next to the sakinaka metro station.
The entrance of this place is spiral staircase leading to antique wooden door.
The ambience of this hotel is welcoming with wooden interiors and pink and white colours.
They also have gazal nights.
Coming to food, these happy place serves cuisines like Indian,Mughlai,Italian,Continental and oriental.
Initially we were served these coolers
• Green apple juice which was kind off detoxing drink
• Thandai which was made of milk with wholesome pistas, cashews, almonds and rich kesar.

• Chicken manchow soup- It was mild spicy soup with fresh vegetables and shredded chicken.

Coming to starters
We were served a veg platter and a non veg platter.
• Veg platter they have named it sabji miljuli which really goes with the dish as they have variety like a spicy mushroom tandoor, paneer tikkas, naram dil kebab ( paneer smashed and cooked in red chilly),cauliflower tandoor ( which was quite uniquely covered in green gravy and tasted super yummy) seekh kebab and harabara kebab

• Non veg platter- This dish was a real treat to me as my heart is where chicken is. The food in the platter made love to my soul. The platter consisted of a spicy breast and leg piece of chicken properly tandoored (grilled) with absolutely right blend of red masala, fish kebab ( rawas fried appropriately till it gave a brownish tinge to the fish ) mutton kebab ( long kebabs made in red paste)

By the time we were to reach the main course the platters clean bowled my appetite.
So we chose this light oriental chicken schezwan fried rice with the most tasty chicken manchurian i ever had. It was not to spicy not too bland but just perfect.

As the rule of every food lover says no matter what and how much you eat there is always a room for dessert.
We were served this chef's signature dessert named madhur milan (fusion of sweet)
This dessert was blow torched and had bundi at the bottom with gulab jamun in the middle and also rabdi in the top most layer
With cherry on dessert and sprinkled pistachios, almond flakes. Such a treat.

We signed off the meal with absolutely no place for anything but much happiness within.

COOK-A-THON- Chole Masala

Whenever we hear of Chole puri the foodie inside all of us cannot resist from taking a bite. The taste of chole puri can be enjoyed by sitting at your home  Whenever you get the urge to have some delicious yummy spicy. Not so difficult to make a chole puri at your home. Yes it takes time but patience is all you need to keep to enjoy a sumptuous bowl of chole.

Recipe:

1. Soak a bowl of chole(Chick peas or Kabuli Chana) in a pressure cooker overnight. We want the chick peas to soak the water as much as possible and it wont take much time while cooking. If you get the craving of having chole and you don't have much time all you need is cook chole for more whistles than the soaked ones,

2. In a pressure cooker put these soaked chole add 1-2 tsp of salt, 1 large indian bay leaf(tej patta), and 1-2 tea bags( to give the lovely black colour to the choles while they cook). Now if you donot have tea bags so in a small pan you can boil some tea  let it come to boil strain it and then put that water to the pressure cooker. You have to be carefull with the amount of tea you use you don't want too much of black colour taking away the natural colour of the chick peas.

3. Now we have to cook these chickpeas for atleast 5 whistles. After that we will take the lid off and check whether the chickpeas are properly cooked.

4. you have to take out some amount of chickpeas that has cooked take them out on the plate and mash them up. This helps in getting the gravy that thick consistency we usually see in the Punjabi chole.

5.We need to take a tava or any pan put some cumin seeds, dalchini sticks(cinnamon stick), 2-3 green cardamom, 2-3 black pepper, little bit of turmeric, some red chilli powder, some garam masala and dry roast it. we don't need to burn it . we just want that roasted masala fragrance to get mixed with our chole. This is my way of cooking these.

6. Now in a kadai take some 2-3 tsp of ghee and heat it.

7. Once the ghee is hot we will add some 2 green chillies finely chopped, and 2 medium sized onions chopped length wise, some ginger garlic paste and cook the onions for 2 minutes until they are soft.

8. Once the onions are soft we will add 2 tomatoes roughly chopped and keep cooking till the ghee starts leaving the masala and tomatoes become mushy. Now the seasoning add some salt, 1 tsp of coriander powder, some finely chopped ginger too(I love the taste of whole ginger), 1 tsp garam masala, 1/2 tsp of amchur powder(raw mango powder) you can use some lemon incase you don't have amchur powder, 1 tsp of fennel powder(saunf optional it is saunf is good for digestion and makes the gravy thick too), 1 tsp red chilli powder.

9.Add the dry roasted masala to the mixture. 1-2 tsp of Everest Chole Masala.

9. Cook the masala on a low flame for 3-4 minutes. Mix the masala with the cooked chick peas. Add 2 cups of water and let it cook for some 5-10 minutes on low flame. Keep Stiring in between until the gravy gets thick.

10. Garnish with some freshly chopped coriander leaves and serve with bhature, puri or some plain rice.
